📅 30 Days Before Moving Day

Declutter room-by-room: discard broken items and donate unused clothes. Sort critical documents (property papers, insurance, medical files) in a personal folder. Inform current landlord or building society of your intended moving date. Contact Jalsa Packers & Movers for an authentic pre-move estimate in Vadodara. Obtain a clear written quotation detailing vehicle, crew, and packing material. Request school/college leaving certificates or transfers if moving long-distance. Measure oversized furniture (sofas, king beds) against doorways and elevators. Start consuming frozen groceries and perishable pantry goods.

📦 1 Week Before Moving Day

Secure society shifting NOC and reserve the service elevator for your move window. Schedule MGVCL electricity and city gas (VGL) final meter reading. Initiate fiber broadband (Jio/Airtel) address relocation. Defrost, wipe dry, and unplug the refrigerator at least 24 hours in advance. Pack non-essential clothing, books, and decor in personal bags. Pack 'First-Night Survival Bag' (chargers, toiletries, 2 days clothes, medicines). Drain petrol from two-wheelers if shipping via transport vehicle. Confirm morning arrival slot (8:00–9:00 AM) with moving supervisor.

🚚 Moving Day Execution

Conduct morning walkthrough with crew pointing out fragile crockery and LCD screens. Verify that elevator padding and floor cardboard runners are installed. Conduct final inspection of all lofts, cupboards, and balconies before departure. Photograph final electricity and gas meters with clear timestamps. Keep laptops, gold jewelry, and original property documents in personal car. Sign vehicle loading dispatch sheet and lock premises.

🏡 Arrival & Settling at New Home

Direct crew to place heavy wardrobes, cots, and appliances in target rooms. Inspect large furniture and appliances for transit condition before signing receipt. Wait 2–3 hours before plugging in refrigerator to allow compressor oil to settle. Verify taps, geysers, flush valves, and main power switchboard function. Assemble beds and unpack first-night survival bags. Return service elevator to society manager and collect refundable deposit.
